Come immerse yourself in the Greenwood Joy Experience and see the art of Dawn Tree in the Barn, from now through Sunday 8/13!
This adventure allows you to reflect on what joy feels like while dissecting issues that continue to plague African American communities.
The art is reflective of what joy looks like if these issues are addressed and sustained in real-time. The art is meant to make you feel and explore your emotions toward a medium that could feel unfinished with something like a controlled paint drip technique rooted in abstract expressionism. Immerse yourself in the idea of imagination.
The art created by Dawn Tree is multi-layered and textured in symbolism involving elements like glitter, gold leaf, pastel, and bright colors. This experience is meant for you to feel emotion; no specific emotion, but feel free to explore and identify what comes up. Let it inspire you to move forward in the world stronger and more inspired to express joy within and outward.
