Registered volunteers will meet at the People’s Kitchen Farm at 62nd Street and Upland Avenue (across from Mount Moriah Cemetery), promptly at 10 AM. Staff will separate groups and provide instructions and safety protocols for the day. Out of respect and safety for our staff and others, please arrive on time.
In collaboration with Bartram’s Garden, the Southwest Tree Coalition, and the Roots Tree Crew, Southwest neighbors are invited to revitalize and help maintain the health of Southwest’s public spaces. Volunteers will clear trash and debris, participate in planting, and help maintain young trees. Volunteers will have the opportunity to learn about soil health, proper tree planting, pruning, and plant identification.
We recommend that you come prepared in boots or sturdy shoes.
Gloves, high vis vests, eye protection, and other necessary tools will be provided
PLEASE NOTE: Capacity is limited; participants MUST be pre-registered (using link below) in order to partake. Each adult must register individually in order to complete the required waivers.
Registration full but would like to still participate? Please contact Sarah Adeniran at sadeniran@bartramsgarden to be added to our waitlist. Parents/guardians must complete registration for individuals 18 and under.
Please also email Sarah immediately if you plan on cancelling your attendance, so that we may make room for those on our waitlist.
Thank you!
Health reminders: We are in accordance with Pennsylvania and the City of Philadelphia’s current COVID-19 response levels. Please follow the link to stay up-to-date on our city’s protocols. If you are sick or experiencing COVID-19 symptoms, please do not volunteer.
