FREE CONCERT: Tower of Song (July 18)
Tower of Song, a pop-up choir, travels between the Washington, DC and Philadelphia areas for performances during the summer months. The all-female choral group is comprised of six classically trained vocalists, though the ensemble can’t be described as belonging to one musical genre. They provide harmony in an eclectic range, from contemporary classical to lighthearted bluegrass.
Tower of Song has been sharing a variety of musical styles with texts that promote women-empowering themes and experiences since 2011. They always find a new and interesting angle for their musical set, drawing from international texts, various languages and choral music from different points in history.
Their performance at Bartram’s Garden this coming Saturday will be sampling multiple languages, including Gaelic, Finnish and Hungarian. Come join us in the 1777 Barn for what promises to be a unique and transcendent experience. You can register online for free tickets. Space is limited.
