Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia Performance

June 30, 2022 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Eastwick Pavilion
5400 Lindbergh Blvd
Philadelphia, PA 19143 United States

The Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia presents the second season of its outdoor concert series in beautiful gardens across the city, “Orchestra in the Garden.”

Performances of “Franklin’s Playlist”, the final installment of the series, will take place at Bartram’s Garden and Villanova’s Stoneleigh Garden. This piece gives audiences a window into the musical tastes of America’s Founding Fathers in Philadelphia. A selection of Mozart, Corelli, Saint-Georges, and even a Scottish folk tune highlight some of the varied influences that served as a soundtrack to this era. Principal Cello Branson Yeast is highlighted performing Boccherini’s 7th Cello Concerto.

The concert begins at 7 pm, but audiences are welcome to arrive up to an hour before to enjoy the beautiful flora and architecture of the Garden. Tickets for these performances are available through the registration link or by calling 215-545-1739. Prices begin at $30 for Lawn seating, where picnics are encouraged.

$2 tickets for SW residents and ACCESS cardholders are available via the registration link.

About The Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia

The Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia, a founding resident company of The Kimmel Cultural Campus, is a 33-member professional ensemble led by Music Director Dirk Brossé. Established in 1964 by Marc Mostovoy, and originally named Concerto Soloists, the orchestra has a well-established reputation for distinguished performances of repertoire spanning the Baroque period through the 21st century. In the 2022-2023 subscription season, the group will perform six concert programs, from October through May in the Kimmel Center’s 600-seat Perelman Theater. New this season is also a Baroque-themed holiday concert of Italian Christmas concertos at the Church of the Holy Trinity on Rittenhouse Square.
