Goldenrod Herbal Studies: Medicine Making Intermediate I

Medicine Making Intermediate I is the third of seven intensive workshops in the Goldenrod Herbal Studies series, taught by Clinical Herbalist Kelly McCarthy of Attic Apothecary.

The Intermediate I workshop is divided into two days: December 10-11, 9am-3pm. Together with Intermediate II (February 4-5), the Medicine Making course will teach you all about:

  • weight to volume tinctures 
  • double extraction tinctures
  • poultice
  • compress
  • soak
  • liniments
  • ​apothecary record keeping

Course Pricing & Scholarships

$240 for Medicine Making Intermediate I and II 

$400 for the entire Medicine Making course (Foundations I and II

$600 for all 7 workshops in the series (save $240)

Scholarships: There will be two half-price scholarships available for each workshop module for students with financial need, prioritizing BIPOC, trans, and disabled students.

Payment Plans:
Payment plans are open to everyone. The registration system does not allow payment plans to be used with coupon codes.

If you’d like to use a coupon code AND you’d like to use a payment plan,  register by just putting down the first deposit, and send an email to .The instructor will honor coupon code discount and send invoices to be paid monthly.

Supplies & Additional Costs

All herbs, beeswax, and salve containers are provided. You will need to supply alcohol, oil, cheesecloth, and a few glass jars (the complete materials list will be sent once you register). These materials will cost approximately $50-$75.

About Goldenrod Herbal Studies

The Goldenrod Herbal Studies series is taught by Clinical Herbalist Kelly McCarthy of the Attic Apothecary and offers in-depth herbal studies in bite-sized modules.

COVID Safety

Plan to wear masks while indoors, and adjust COVID considerations if things change considerably. The medicine-making classes are designed for in-person learning, and won’t be moved online. 

Refund Policy

Full refunds are available up to 10 days before the start of the class.
50% refunds are available up to 2 days before the start of the class
No refunds are available the day before or day of the class.
$50 of the registration deposit is non-refundable
