Vote For Bartram’s Garden!
The Philadelphia Foundation recently announced the finalists for its Key to Community grantmaking initiative. We are thrilled to be among the many organizations recognized as community change-makers, but we need your help!
The final recipients of these awards will be decided by public vote. Those who live in Pennsylvania, Delaware, New Jersey, and New York (to account for any vacationing locals) are eligible to submit one vote per category per day, through July 26th.
Our initiative is in the Community and Civic Engagement section, toward the bottom of the voting page, and is entitled Reclaiming Local History and Championing an Inclusive Future in Southwest Philly. (It’s a mouthful, we know!) Don’t forget to click Vote Now at the bottom of the section!
Southwest Philadelphia is a neighborhood of rich history, culture, and traditions, made up of families with roots stretching back generations alongside recent immigrants from West Africa, the Caribbean, and Southeast Asia. As development and displacement disrupt our neighborhood, the Garden is investing directly in Southwest leadership to ensure that neighbors have a voice in both how their stories are told and how this area grows. This grant would go directly to making this work possible and sustainable.
Thank you for your support! Please share this page with any friends or family who would also like to support our work. And remember: you can vote once a day, every day, through July 26th!
