Join us for our 3rd annual Juneteenth Celebration, hosted in partnership with VinylTap215.
A word from VinylTap215:
Our programming this year is rooted in the heart of the historical day that took place in 1865. It was when the message reached the last of Enslaved Africans that chattel slavery had ended and they were free to choose to exist on their own terms.
The essence of freedom is choice. This year, our programming reflects this ideal. We are creating a space for people to come and engage in a variety of experiences as they choose. The following experiences will be available: drumming, storytelling, face painting, group exercise, DJ performances, singers, musicians, vendors, games & children’s activities, a foraging walk, photo booth, information tables, mental health supports, and more!
Bring a blanket and share a fun-filled day of celebration and joy in the name of freedom!
Be sure to stop by the Barn during your visit for an open gallery viewing of the Three of a Kind Part 2 Art Exhibition by the Mshinda family!
